The Disaster Management Learning Management System (LMS) is a web based learning and student management system that supports training delivered under the Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework.
Users of the Disaster Management LMS can complete Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework (the Framework) courses online, nominate for face to face training workshops and apply for recognition of prior learning for previous training and experience. Users can also access an academic history of previous training completed under the Framework, as well as a learning pathway customised for their role in the Queensland disaster management arrangements.
Online courses are available for enrolment all year round.
There are no costs to users of the Disaster Management LMS.
To be eligible for access to the Disaster Management LMS, users must be current disaster management stakeholders including officers from local governments, State government agencies, Australian government agencies, and non-government organisations or groups with disaster management functions.
New users will need to complete the online application form and outline their role or function in disaster management in Queensland.
